Is the Door Closed?
“For which is a great nation that has a God who is close to it, as the Lord our God whenever we call to Him?” (Deuteronomy 4:7). “The Lord is close to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely” (Psalm 145:18). “O Hearer of prayer, unto you does all flesh come” (Psalm 65:3). “Trust in Him at every moment, O People! Pour out your hearts before Him; God is a refuge for us, Selah” (Psalm 62:9).
All these words were spoken centuries before the advent of Christianity. The prophets assured us that our Father in heaven hears our prayers and answers them – if we but turn to Him with sincerity.
How then can we accept the claim of a man who says “… no one cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6)? This dark teaching is openly refuted by the words of God’s prophets.

Many ignorant Jews have difficulty with “… no one cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6) … yet these same Jews will bow their heads on a stone grave and pray that these dead men carry their prayers to Hashem. If this isn’t the very definition of hypocricy, I don’t know what is.

First of all -two wrongs don’t make a right. Second – even ignorant Jews understand that God’s door is never closed. No Jew ever claimed that if you do not ask the dead to intercede then God will not hear your prayer.
The fact is that the most knowledgeable Jews who pray by the gravesites of the righteous – pray directly to God. The reason they go to teh grave is to be inspired by the example of the righteous person and to bring to mind the truth of our own mortality.

This isn’t to anyone in particular, but just some thoughts that come to mind when reading the article, and the comment to it. I personally don’t believe the person known as “Jesus” said really anything found in “the Gospel of John”. I believe that what he truly spoke can be found in the hypothetical “Q Document”, which is basically a collection of sayings. These, in an edited and added to form, are found, I believe, in “the Gospel of Matthew”, chapters 5-7.
I believe the Jesus person (whatever his name really was), was Jewish to his core, and would be appalled by the “church” that was created by the Roman Empire in his name. It really has nothing to do with what he taught. He taught the heart of the Law and never taught that all we need to do is believe in him; that is utterly ridiculous.
I am not Jewish, nor am I even religious, but I can clearly see that those who claim to be followers of Jesus truly have no clue what his message was (from what I have observed both in my personal life, and here on the internet).
— We aren’t born sinners; We can obey God and be righteous if we so choose.
— We don’t need a sin sacrifice to be reconciled with God; we need a sincere heart which turns to Him and keeps His Will, out of love for Him.
— We need to do more than just “trust”, or “believe in” or “have faith in” God; We need to love, respect and honor Him in our mind and in our deeds; not because we fear some fictitious burning hell that only an evil god would send anyone to, but because we truly love Him.
— God is ONE, not two, three or more. To worship any other god or man is breaking the most important Law of all and is blasphemous idolatry! And the satan isn’t an enemy of God; God has only one enemy, and that is wicked man who opposes His will. To believe that there is a “god of evil” is to be a polytheist.
And finally, Jesus wasn’t a “Christian”, he was a Jew!!!
Christianity is a false religious system created to enslave the minds of the world;
Christianity is MIND CONTROL and doesn’t lead to eternal life; it leads to a seared conscience!
