Law of Moses
The practical observance of God’s Law as dictated through Moses is not highly regarded in the teachings of Christianity. Many Christian denominations believe that with the death of Jesus, the Law of Moses was completely annulled. Others believe that it is still practicable for Jews to observe the Law of Moses, but it is not a significant part of their relationship with God. The Jewish scriptures teach that the Law of Moses is eternal, it is holy and beautiful and it is central in our relationship with God. The following list of scriptural passages all speak of the importance of the Law. Some of these passages teach us that the Law is relevant for all generations, into and including the Messianic age. Other passages confirm that the Law is beautiful, holy, life-giving and central to our relationship with God.

Shanah tovah u’metukah, may you have a blessed year rabbi.
R’B,
While I agree and know first hand what you’ve said above concerning Christian denominations is true with very rare exceptions. I feel I would be remiss if I didn’t call attention to the fact that “God’s law as dictated through Moses is highly regarded in the teachings of Christianity, yet largely ignored by Christians.
This is mainly due to Pauline writings in which human nature enabled by ignorance of Torah and culture can easily twist it into holy writings promoting lawlessness (or without Torah). If reading the writings of Paul by one who knows Torah is difficult at best. Then reading by one who knows nothing of Torah can easily become a guide leading in the opposite direction from what was intended. This has produced contemporary Christianity which reads outside of Torah and culture now 2000 years removed. It’s a wonder they fair as well as they do. Perhaps God overlooks their ignorance for the greater good or perhaps it is a bridge back home to those previously lost yet still called by HIS name.
